DallasMeetup is pleased to announce that Robert Hauser, PharmD PhD, Regional Vice President of Oncology at Sarah Cannon Cancer Network, is our latest Featured Networker to debut for DallasMeetup at Backyard Dallas! 🥳

Rob serves as the Regional Vice President of Oncology for HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Cancer Network. His duties include developing the oncology service line for Medical City Hospitals in North Texas. Previously, Rob co-founded Vidence and served as the Chief Business Development & Analytics Officer, leading its successful acquisition within two years. He focused on identifying business opportunities to leverage extensive clinical-genomic data for various healthcare sectors, including biopharmaceuticals, providers, and payers.

Throughout his career, Rob has held several senior leadership positions, such as Vice President of Clinical Analytics and HEOR at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. He also led the Quality Department at the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), where he was responsible for developing oncology quality measures, ASCO guidelines, the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI), QOPI Certification Program, and the CancerLinQ program from its inception to a company. With over 25 years dedicated to enhancing cancer patient care and outcomes, Rob’s career began as a pharmacy intern at MD Anderson at age 16, and he has remained in the oncology field. He has experience building oncology companies, non-profits, and working with Fortune 10 companies. Rob is committed to ensuring patients receive the highest quality care.

Rob has led over 30 research activities, published numerous peer-reviewed articles, served as a guest editor, and presented extensively to various audiences. He currently sits on the University of Texas College of Pharmacy Dean’s Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for the Geriatric Oncology Consortium, the Board of Directors for Share for Cures, and previously served on the Advisory Board of Doctors Helping Doctors Transform Healthcare. He has also influenced oncology EHR usage through his appointment to the CCHIT Oncology Work Group in 2010-11.

Rob earned both of his doctorates from the University of Texas and frequently attends UT football games with his family. In his leisure time, Rob participates in outdoor activities such as boating, golf, snowboarding, and running.
