Benjamin Vann of Impact Ventures to be featured at DallasMeetup

Benjamin J. Vann is the Founder and CEO of Impact Ventures, a pioneering nonprofit startup accelerator and integrated capital fund dedicated to empowering under-resourced entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 2017, Impact Ventures has positively impacted over 3,500 individuals through high-impact networking events, hackathons, workshops, and summits. The organization’s flagship accelerator program, launched in 2020, has supported over 250 founders who collectively raised $25 million in external capital, created 485 jobs, and engaged over 260 mentors, contributing more than 5,300 hours of specialized training and mentorship. In 2020, Benjamin led the launch of Texas’s first Community Development Venture Capital Funds (CDVC), providing flexible debt and patient equity capital to advance economic justice across the state.

With 17+ years of experience across banking, corporate finance, philanthropy, and impact investing, Benjamin has held leadership roles at Fidelity Investments, Fidelity Charitable, and Good Returns Group, where he helped transform corporate philanthropy through micro-lending. A committed civic leader, he’s serves on the executive board of Builders of Hope Community Development Corporation and previously served on many boards and commissions throughout the City of Dallas. Benjamin’s leadership has earned recognition, including the Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 award, DCEO Dallas 500 Most Powerful CEOs in 2021 and 2025, and the Quest for Success Award.

As a Midwest native, Benjamin holds a bachelor’s in finance from Washburn University, where he excelled academically and athletically. He was Vice President of the Washburn Finance Society, Founder of the Washburn Gospel Choir, and a standout defensive back. Before his entrepreneurial career, Benjamin was a professional football player and has since mentored young athletes. In his personal life, he is a self-taught musician and avid vinyl collector. Benjamin resides in Dallas with his wife, Cashmere, and two sons, Benjamin II and Braxton. He is a proud member of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
