Trey Bowles of Bowles Investment Group to be featured at DallasMeetup

Trey Bowles is a serial and multi exited entrepreneur, an investor with more than 50 portfolio companies, an educator, and family office owner at Bowles Investment Group (BIG). Trey recently served as Managing Director for the Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth Accelerator program and the Techstars Anywhere (remote/virtual) Spring program. 

With roles in building both for-profit and non-profit endeavors, Trey has vast experiences in starting, building and growing businesses and helping others do the same. Bowles was at the helm of the popular p2p file-sharing company Morpheus, which has more than 110 million downloads of its application in the first year of operations and help change the future of the music and film industries. Bowles took over and sold Big Jump Media Inc to Salem Communications (NYSE: SALM) Bowles is also Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center, a non-profit organization focused on aggregating entrepreneurs and helping aspiring entrepreneurs start, build, and grow their businesses.  Bowles also started Engage Dallas with City of Dallas to engage culturally diverse and civically minded group of young professions to make impact on the city.  

Trey launched an entrepreneurship department at SMU in the Meadows School of Arts where he still serves as an adjunct professor. Bowles current serves on the board of the Center for American Entrepreneurship, a nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) research, policy, and advocacy organization that works with policymakers in Washington and across the country to achieve a policy environment that promotes new business formation, survival, andgrowth.   Bowles was appointed by Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, to NACIE (National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship) to help the Department of Commerce determine what they should be doing in their capacity around Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the US government. Bowles lives in Dallas, TX with his bride and three kids.
