Nilesh B. Dave of Texas Health Resources to be featured at DallasMeetup

In his current role, Dr. Dave leads current and new initiatives to drive high-quality, clinical performance and create innovative solutions for complex operational problems. Notably, Dr. Dave leads system medical staff affairs, co-leads our system telehealth deployment with a focus on clinical operations, and a voting member of the THR AI Governance Committee. Recently, he earned a Certificate from MIT’s program on AI in Healthcare. Prior to joining Texas Health, Dr. Dave was part of Steward Health Care, where he served as National Medical Officer for its multi-state, TeleICU program since 2021, where he led internal operations and curated system critical care performance metrics across the health system during COVID. Prior to that, he served as a Doximity Telehealth Fellow and as lead national accounts medical officer for Optum, a health services innovation company and medical director at Healthcare Services Corporation (BCBS IL/TX/OK/NM/MT) overseeing employer population health programs and participating in the C1 Innovation Center. In 2006, he started his career in academics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as its founding medical director of the Clinical Center for Sleep and Breathing Disorders.
Dr. Dave has a clinical background in pulmonary/sleep/critical care/hospice & palliative care medicine and has maintained practice in these specialties for nearly 20 years. He earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago in 2017; an MPH from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University; Doctor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in pulmonary/sleep/critical care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and an active American Telemedicine Association member.
He is a devoted husband and father to identical twin daughters who are in college. He is an avid fan of basketball, heavy metal music, and specialty coffee. He participates in the North Texas Angel Network and will be a judge for the upcoming Health Wildcatters Hackathon
